Mobile Tyre Fitting in Stirling

FK7 to FK9

Flat tyre in a student car park at Airthrey, a blowout coming off the M9 at Pirnhall, or a kerbed rim on the way back from Callander? We bring the tyre, the tools and the balancer to you, anywhere in Stirling, 24 hours a day. Your car does not move until it is safe to drive.

Mobile tyre fitting across Stirling, at home, at work or at the roadside

We are a family run mobile tyre service based in Glasgow, and Stirling is a straight run up the M80 for us, around 26 miles. That is why we can take Stirling callouts at short notice and through the night rather than pushing you into a slot next week.

The van is the workshop. Tyre machine, computerised wheel balancer, torque wrench, TPMS diagnostic tools, locking wheel nut extraction kit, compressor and lighting for night work. Nothing gets half done and finished at a garage later.

We supply budget, mid range and premium tyres in sizes up to 285/40 R23, and we fit customer supplied tyres too. Give us the registration and we will confirm the correct size, load index and speed rating before anything is ordered.

Most single tyre jobs are completed in under an hour once we are on site. You get a realistic arrival window on the call, based on where you actually are, because a callout to Cornton and a callout to a farm track outside Kippen are not the same journey.

Everything we can do for you in Stirling

Mobile tyre fitting

Supply, fit, balance and torque at your location, with the old tyre taken away for proper disposal.

Emergency tyre replacement, 24 hours

Blowouts, split sidewalls, tyres shredded after running flat. We carry stock and come out at any hour, including weekends and bank holidays.

Puncture repair

Repairs are done to the BSAU159 standard, which means the damage has to be in the central three quarters of the tread and no larger than 6mm. If it is repairable, we repair it, because that costs you less than a new tyre. If it is sidewall damage, we will tell you it cannot be repaired safely.

Wheel balancing

Vibration through the steering at 50 to 70mph on the M9 usually means a lost weight or a wheel needing rebalanced. We balance electronically on site.

TPMS sensor replacement

Warning light that keeps coming back after you have inflated the tyre is usually a failing sensor or a corroded valve. We diagnose, replace and reset.

Locking wheel nut removal

Key lost, nut seized, or the head rounded off by a previous fitter. We extract it without damaging the alloy and can supply a replacement set.

Vans, 4x4s and small fleets

Trade vans around Springkerse, delivery vehicles, and 4x4s working the rural side of the council area. We fit out of hours so vehicles are ready for the morning.

Common callouts we take in Stirling

Motorway and junction blowouts

The M9 and M80 meet at Junction 9 at Bannockburn, and the M9 runs on to Junction 10 at Craigforth and Junction 11 at Keir. High speed, heavy merging traffic and long commuter mileage make this the stretch we get the most sudden deflations from.

Pothole damage after a cold snap

Stirling Council maintains over 1,000km of road, and freeze and thaw does what it always does to a surface that has taken water. Between May 2025 and April 2026, 1,243 potholes were reported to Stirling Council through a freedom of information request published by Central FM. Buckled rims and sidewall bulges follow those.

Hill and rural road damage

The A84 towards Doune and Callander, the A821 over the Duke’s Pass, the A811 towards Drymen and Loch Lomond and the A91 along the Hillfoots all mix narrow carriageways with soft verges and steep camber. Drop a wheel off the edge and you can split a sidewall in one go.

Kerbed alloys in town

Stirling’s older streets, the wynds around the castle and the tighter bays at Springkerse Retail Park produce a steady flow of kerbed rims and scuffed sidewalls.

Student cars with tyres past their best

Around 14,000 students study at the University of Stirling, and a lot of them run older cars on a tight budget. We see a lot of tyres in Cornton, Causewayhead and Bridge of Allan that have gone under the legal limit without anybody noticing.

Farm and estate vehicle punctures

Out towards Gargunnock, Kippen, Blairdrummond and Thornhill there is real agricultural traffic, and hedge cutting season brings thorn and flint punctures with it.

Options from budget to premium, plus an arrival window that reflects where you actually are.

3. The nearest van is dispatched

Straight up the M80 from Glasgow, or from wherever the nearest fitter is working.

4. We fit on site

Wheel off, new tyre mounted, balanced, refitted, torqued to specification, pressures set and TPMS reset where fitted.

Tread and pressures. UK legal minimum is 1.6mm across the central three quarters.

Why Stirling drivers call us

We actually attend breakdowns

Worth checking before you rely on a big name. The national mobile fitting services run pre planned route slots, and Kwik Fit’s own mobile fitting FAQ says outright that they cannot offer an emergency roadside service. Emergency work is what we are set up for. The phone gets answered at 3am.

Over 20 years, family run

Same people on the phone and on the job.

One visit, whole job

Fitting, balancing, TPMS and locking nut removal all travel with the fitter.

Straight answers on repair versus replace

Repairable punctures get repaired. Nobody gets sold four tyres to fix one problem.

Certified and equipped

Fully certified technicians, torque done to the manufacturer’s figure with a wrench, and premium tyres backed with manufacturer warranties.

Quoted price is the final price

Confirmed before the van moves, including any out of hours element.

Rated 5.0 from 66 Google reviews

Speed, honest pricing and easy fitters are the themes customers keep repeating.

Why Stirling is harder on tyres than it looks

Stirling sits where the Central Belt stops and the Highlands start, and that geography is the whole story for tyre wear here.

Half the driving is motorway. The M9 and M80 meet at Bannockburn and feed commuters into Glasgow, Edinburgh, Falkirk and Perth. Motorway miles build heat, and heat is what turns unnoticed damage into a sudden deflation at 70mph.

The other half is the opposite. Within twenty minutes of the city centre you are on the A84 heading for Callander, the A821 climbing the Duke’s Pass, or the single track lanes around Gargunnock and Thornhill inside Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. Narrow, cambered, edged with soft verge and stone. That is where sidewalls get cut and rims get buckled, and it is also where the phone signal gets patchy, so pull somewhere sensible before you call.

Winter sharpens both problems. Stirling Council keeps 537 grit bins and used 5,911 tonnes of salt across a recent winter, running a priority route system with targeted support for rural communities. Priority routes get treated first, which is the right call, but it means the hill roads and the minor rural routes are treated later in a cold snap. Frozen verges and pothole edges do the damage after that.

One practical suggestion. If you regularly drive the A84 or the Hillfoots, check your sidewalls, not just your tread. Tread depth tells you about wear. Sidewalls tell you about the pothole you hit three weeks ago and forgot about.

What our customers say

Our Google profile averages 5.0 across 66 reviews. Most of that review base is Glasgow and the Central Belt, because that is where we have worked longest. The themes are consistent: how fast the van arrived, prices that matched the quote, and fitters who were easy to deal with.

Simon Drohan, Google review

Excellent response and service. Brought and fitted an OE tyre to a remote spot by Loch Lomond, all with a professional approach, smartly presented team and a well maintained, well equipped vehicle, along with a very friendly service too. Highly recommended.

Leisel Gallacher, Google review

Quick service, team was lovely, constant communication from team when coming through. Would highly recommend, very helpful.

Mathew Johnston, Google review

Absolutely brilliant, were out within 20 minutes and had me back on the road after 40 minutes after hitting a pothole. Very effective and fair priced.

Driving on a bulged sidewall or an under inflated tyre on the M9 is not a risk worth taking, and a slow puncture on the A84 tends to become a fast one somewhere inconvenient. Tell us where you are and what has happened, and you will have a price and a time before the call ends.

Mobile tyre fitting Stirling: your questions answered

How fast can you get to me in Stirling?

Stirling is roughly 26 miles from our Glasgow base, straight up the M80. We give you an honest arrival window on the call, which depends on your exact location, the time and stock. A callout to Cornton and a callout to a farm road near Kippen are different journeys, and we will say so rather than quote the same number for both.

Yes. Seven days a week, nights, weekends and bank holidays included. M9 and M80 callouts and night jobs at the university are a normal part of our week. Call 07955 533000 at any hour.

The total depends on your tyre size, the brand you choose and whether it is out of hours. You get the complete figure before the van is dispatched, and that is what you pay. We quote budget, mid range and premium so you can choose.

No. The Highway Code is clear that you should not attempt repairs on the hard shoulder. Pull as far left as possible, leave by the passenger side, get behind the barrier and call for help. Once the vehicle has been recovered somewhere safe we will come and fit the tyre there.

Yes. FK7, FK8 and FK9 are covered in full, and we work out to Dunblane, Doune, Callander, Bannockburn, Fallin, Cowie, Plean, Gargunnock and Kippen. Ring and confirm if you are on a rural road so we can plan the route properly.

Yes. Campus car parks, halls parking and staff parking are all fine, provided there is room to open the doors on the damaged side and it is safe to work.

Often yes. Under BSAU159 a repair is possible when the damage sits in the central three quarters of the tread and is no larger than 6mm. Sidewall damage, shoulder damage and any tyre driven on while flat are not safely repairable.

Yes. We carry extraction tooling and remove them without damaging the alloy in the great majority of cases, then supply a replacement set if you want one.

Yes. We do fitting only work, including balancing and pressure setting. We will check the size and rating against your vehicle first and flag anything that does not match.

Usually. It is often a corroded valve or a sensor at the end of its battery life rather than a genuine slow leak. We test it properly, replace the part if needed and reset the system before we leave.

Yes, including out of hours so vehicles are back on the road for the morning. Trade vans around Springkerse and Castle Business Park, and small local fleets, are a regular part of our Stirling work.

Most single tyre fits take under an hour on site, including balancing. A straightforward puncture repair is quicker.
